Below is the full list of acceptable proof of ID documents. The document provided must be valid, i.e. expired passports and driving licences cannot be accepted. It must also show the candidate's full, current legal name and date of birth. Photographic ID is preferred.
All details must be clearly visible and legible. Please ensure there is no glare or dark shadows and nothing is obscuring any part of the document. Blurry, obscured, too small or too cropped documentation will not be accepted.
If they have changed their name and the ID document has not been updated, we will also require a marriage certificate, divorce certificate or change of name deed poll showing a clear change from the name on the ID documentation to their current name.
Failure to supply a valid proof of ID will result in their screening being rejected.
PLEASE DO NOT upload password protected documents, we cannot use these and they can corrupt the rest of the application form, resulting in rejection.
Acceptable forms of ID:
- Valid Passport (UK and International) (Photo page showing full MRZ number)
- Valid Driving Licence (UK and International) (full or provisional accepted) (if not used for proof of address)
- Birth Certificate
- Biometric Residence permit – (Must be both sides of the permit)
- Adoption Certificate
Common forms of ID we DO NOT accept are as follows:
- Student ID cards
- SIA licence cards
- Employee ID cards
- UK Identity Cards showing the PASS accreditation logo
- National Identity Card issued outside of the UK
IMPORTANT NOTE: Whilst a Driving Licence is a valid proof of ID and proof of address, it CANNOT be used for both categories. If they have used their driving licence as proof of ID, they must use a different document for their proof of address.
