Once the screening starts, the file will be assigned to a screener who will contact the candidate and advise them of any documentation required.
Please inform your candidates that cooperation with our screening team will ensure their screening is completed quickly and efficiently, preventing any delays in starting their employment.
If they were claiming benefits within the time frame of their screening, we will require documentation to cover this period. Documents we can accept are as follows:
Universal Credit
- Payment summary from their online portal showing ALL Universal Credit payments and their name
- Bank statements showing payments. Please Note: We will require one bank statement for each month of the claim period, clearly showing their name, benefit payments and the dates of payment
Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Their 5-Year Employment History from HMRC if it shows the JSA or ESA claim dates
- A benefits letter confirming their full claim period from the Jobcentre
- Bank statements showing payments. Please Note: We will require one bank statement for each month of the claim period, clearly showing their name, benefit payments and the dates of payment
If they are unable to provide any documentation, we may need to treat the time period as a period of not working and not claiming benefits.
